Bridge parapet works A206 Pettman Crescent and resurfacing
We are replacing bridge parapets to the A206 Pettman Crescent in West Thamesmead and Plumstead and Glyndon.
The works are scheduled to happen during the school summer holidays.
11 August to 5 September
We are waterproofing and resurfacing Pettman Crescent.
During this time, the A206 southbound at the junction of Western Way and Pettman Crescent will have lane closures.
There will be alternative routes for Plumstead High Street and Woolwich.
There will also be temporary traffic lights on Pettman Crescent to manage the diversions.
Pettman Crescent will be completely closed at the junction with Plumstead High Street between 27 and 28 August. There will be diversions to maintain access to all routes.
This will not affect access for:
- pedestrians
- businesses
- residents' homes

Traffic Diversions
Thamesmead to Woolwich
Southbound traffic from Western Way will use a signed alternative route to Plumstead Road.
You can still access HMP Belmarsh.
Thamesmead To Plumstead High Street
There will be a signed exit at Western Way due to the lane closures.
You can still access the trading estate on this route.
