Resident parking permit prices from Thursday 31 July 2025

We are increasing the price of resident parking permits that start on or after Thursday 31 July 2025. This applies to new and renewed permits.

New permit prices

The base price for a resident permit in most of Royal Greenwich will be £102 for one year. Permits will also be available for 3 or 6 month periods.

You will get a discount if your vehicle has low carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. That means it emits 100 grams or less of CO2 for each kilometre you drive (100g/km).

You will need to pay an extra charge if your vehicle:

  • has higher CO2 emissions and emits 111g/km or more
  • uses diesel - this charge will be £51

These prices apply to almost all our controlled parking zones (CPZs). Check if you need a controlled parking zone (CPZ) permit

Non emissions based CPZs

Permit prices in some CPZs are not currently emissions based.

Find your vehicle's CO2 emissions

To find out your vehicle's CO2 emissions, you can:

Households with more than one permit

A household with more than one resident permit will pay a £102 charge for each additional permit.

For example:

  • If you have 2 vehicles that both emit 140g/km of CO2, you will need to buy a permit for both vehicles.
  • The first permit you buy will cost £153 (the emissions based price).
  • The second permit you buy will cost £255 (the emissions based price of £153 plus the £102 charge).
  • When you renew your permits, they will cost £255 each (the emissions based price of £153 plus the £102 charge).

A household is any property that has a single postal address.

If your permit price is wrong

If your vehicle is not registered with the DVLA, our system will charge you the highest price of £306 for one year.

To avoid this, you can buy temporary permits. These will cost £20 for 2 weeks.
