Are you a cultural organisation interested in providing fun, free and accessible outdoor workshops, performances and activities across the borough?

Royal Greenwich Festivals returns in 2024 for another exciting summer and applications for funding will open soon. 

If you have a spectacular idea for a creative community project, no matter what the art form, we want to hear from you. Organisations can apply for an amount up to £15,000, £30,000 or £90,000. 

Join us at our applicants’ day on Thursday 9 November from 3pm at Woolwich Town Hall. The workshop will give an overview of the application process and we’ll answer any questions you may have.  

Councillor Adel Khaireh, Cabinet Member for Culture, Communities and Equalities said: “The Royal Greenwich Festivals programme is the highlight of the summer and we’re delighted to host award-winning, must-see events that form an integral part of London’s arts and culture calendar.

“These free, accessible and inclusive cultural opportunities bring communities together, welcome new visitors and present the best that Royal Greenwich has to offer when it comes to arts and culture.  

“We’ve had so many incredible performances in recent years and I can’t wait to see what we can put on in 2024. If you’re interested in applying, come along to the workshop on 9 November to learn more about the process.” 

We are looking to programme lively, accessible, and eye-catching events that are free for residents and visitors to the borough. Funding is available to cultural or festival organisations that understand the diverse communities of Royal Greenwich and are able showcase the borough’s unique culture through creative events.  

Email artsgreenwich@royalgreenwich.gov.uk by Wednesday 8 November to register your place at our application workshop.  

The application period will open later this autumn with successful applicants delivering events in the summer of 2024. 

In 2023, the Royal Greenwich Festival programme provided £164K in funding for worldclass events that included: Foxpark with Emergency Exit Arts, TARU Arts Woolwich Carnival, Tramshed Arts Greenwich Family Arts Festival and the award-winning Greenwich+ Docklands International Festival, delivering over 50 free events and activities across the borough throughout the summer.
