A great future starts now as applications for secondary school places starting in September 2024 are open.

Parents and young people need to choose their preferred secondary schools and submit their applications by the October 31 deadline.

Students are spoilt for choice as Greenwich is filled with great secondary schools, right here on their doorstep - and they're only getting better.

Provisional exam results for 2023 - which had pre-pandemic grading - show that 67% of Key Stage 4 Students achieved a 4 or higher in English and Maths, compared to 63% in 2019.

Cllr Matt Morrow, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “Choosing your preferred secondary school is a big decision, but I’m confident that wherever you go in September you’ll get a fantastic education.

“It’s easy to Be Great in Greenwich as our schools have great teachers, great facilities and will deliver great results. Secondary schools in Royal Greenwich offer rounded, exciting curriculums, offering everything a young person needs to grow into being the best version of themselves.

“Students at our schools go on to do amazing things. Young people who study in Greenwich leave our schools to be doctors, actors, artists, entrepreneurs – whatever they want to be, our schools will help them get there.”

The deadline to apply for a secondary place starting in September 2024 is October 31 2023.
