Families with children who are eligible benefits-related free school meals can get a free holiday club place this summer thanks to Holiday Food and Fun.

Eligible children will once again have a summer jam packed with fun activities and good food thanks to the Council’s popular holiday programme.

We have free spaces at holiday clubs all over Royal Greenwich, offering everything from sports to performing arts, so there will be something for every child’s interest.

Councillor Matt Morrow, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: The cost of childcare can be a massive headache for families so we’re doing everything we can to make life easier. We made it one of Our Greenwich missions to make sure that children and young people reach their potential, and having access to good food and fun is key to growing up happy and healthy.

“Families are spoilt for choice with Holiday Food and Fun, as clubs put on a great range of activities – and they all provide a healthy, filling lunch too, so there’s nothing for families to worry about! So, if you’re eligible, all you need to do is find your local club and contact them to sign up."

Children aged 4 to 16 and eligible for or receiving benefits can get a free holiday club space this summer. Visit royalgreenwich.gov.uk/holidayfoodandfun to see a map of holiday clubs and contact providers directly to book your spot.

And that’s not all that will be on offer this Summer for young people.

Free holiday meals will also be on offer for all children this summer at libraries and leisure centres across the borough. And don’t forget that Young Greenwich provides free or low-cost activities at youth hubs all year round.
