Eltham Service Centre

Published: Tuesday, 7th February 2023

The Council is opening a newly designed service centre in Eltham to give residents more access to face-to-face support with council services.

From Monday 6 February, the Eltham Centre will provide support for Council services with staff on hand from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The centre will also have a payment kiosk, and courtesy phone allowing residents to reach specific departments with the support of Council staff.

Cllr Ivis Williams, Cabinet Member for Finance, Resources and Social Value said: "More people are contacting the Council to meet basic requirements as a result of inflation reaching a 40-year high and the cost of necessities like groceries and bills starting to rise faster than average household incomes.

“A new service centre is a huge part of becoming more accessible to those who need it the most and will support ongoing work the Council is doing to improve its customer services.”

The Registrar is the only service not available at Eltham, this will remain based at Woolwich Town Hall. Residents won’t need to book appointments, as walk-ins are welcome, however, if it is more convenient for you, please book an appointment if you would like support for the following services:

  • Council Tax and Housing Benefit
  • Parking Wings/Parking Support
  • Fobs and ASSA locks
  • Mobility Document hand in
  • Tenancy Terminations
