We’re asking residents to join us in saying a massive thank you to the sons and daughters of our foster carers for all the love and compassion they show children in care.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is proud to be supporting the Fostering Network’s annual Sons and Daughters Month, a national initiative to shine a light on the children of foster carers, and their role in foster care.

There are hundreds of children in our care in our borough, and many move into homes with other children. We’re so grateful to them for being so welcoming to children when they need a home.

Councillor Matt Morrow, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “Fostering is a lifechanging experience for everyone involved, including children and young people who welcome new brothers and sisters.

“The maturity and compassion they show other young people going through a tough time is incredible, and we’re so proud of them for helping us build a borough filled with happy, loving homes.”

Our friendly team are on hand to answer all your questions and guide you through the application process, or you are welcome to attend one of our information sessions. To find out more about fostering, call us on 0800 052 1499.
