Free holiday club places will be available for eligible children throughout the summer holidays as Holiday Food and Fun returns!

Children receiving free school meals will be able to sign up for a summer of fun with dozens of local holiday clubs taking part.

Using money from the Department for Education, we’re funding free spaces for children who need them most.

Everything from sports to drama will be on offer, so there will be something for every child’s interest – no one has to miss out!

Councillor Matt Morrow, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “The cost of childcare during the holidays can be a massive headache for families and carers so I encourage families to take part in Holiday Food and Fun.

“We want to help ease the burden and that starts with making sure every child has the chance to get out the house this summer, socialize with their friends and get access to a healthy lunch too.”

Children aged 4 to 16 and eligible for or receiving benefits can get a free holiday club space this summer. Visit royalgreenwich.gov.uk/holidayfoodandfun to see a map of holiday clubs and contact providers directly to book your spot.

Free holiday meals will also be on offer for all children this summer at libraries and leisure centres across the borough. And don’t forget that Young Greenwich provides free or low-cost activities at youth hubs all year round.
