Armed Forces Day takes place on the last Saturday each June, to honour the armed forces community, from currently serving personnel and their families to veterans and cadets.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich signed the Armed Forces Covenant on 8 February 2012 and renewed our commitment to it in 2022.
The covenant is a promise by the nation to make sure those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
It is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and its local armed forces community. It includes the moral obligation between the nation, the government and the armed forces, at local level.
