The Men’s World Cup kicks off on 11 June and World Cup fever is descending on Royal Greenwich, with the tournament set to be screened at locations across borough.
And if you’re feeling inspired, there are plenty of ways to get involved in the beautiful game across the borough too.
Councillor Adel Khaireh, Cabinet Member for Culture, Equalities and Leisure, said: “World Cup fever is descending across Greenwich, bringing our communities together to watch some of world’s best national men’s football teams go head-to-head.
“You can catch the matches at a host of locations across the borough, so grab your friends, family and neighbours to watch football come home again – we hope!
“Football is an amazing way to get active, make friends and boost your overall wellbeing, and we offer so many ways to get involved locally through Greenwich Get Active, whether you’re dusting of your boots or putting them on for the first time.”
Due to late kick off times and to be considerate to our neighbours, England’s group games won’t be shown on the General Gordon Square big screen in Woolwich.
