The Easter holidays are almost here, and we know how important it is to get the kids active. Children who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals can get free holiday club places over the Easter break as Holiday Food and Fun returns in Royal Greenwich.

Our popular activity scheme gives parents and carers a well-earned break while the kids get stuck into everything from football to dance and arts and crafts all at no cost to families.

Free holiday club places are available between Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April 2026 for children aged 4 to 16 who receive or are eligible for free school meals or have SEND and/or disabilities.

Councillor Adel Khaireh, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “School breaks are a time for children to rest and unwind. The last thing we want is for families to be worrying about what to do during the school break, so Holiday Food and Fun is here to help.

“Our holiday programmes offer something for everyone and include a daily heathy lunch too. Check our website to find your closest club and sign up today.

“We also provide free lunches at libraries during the school holidays – no questions asked. Just turn up and tuck in.”

Councillor Mariam Lolavar, Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care and Borough of Sanctuary, said:

“Supporting every child to live their best life is our priority. This programme delivers a raft of benefits for children and their families: it eases the pressure on family budgets during the school holidays, gives every child access to nutritious meals, enriching activities, all in safe environments which benefit their health, wellbeing and learning. We’re encouraging every eligible parent or carer who wants it to take it up for their child.”
