Royal Greenwich’s much‑loved Holiday Food and Fun programme is returning this summer, offering thousands of children the chance to enjoy free activities and healthy lunches throughout the school break.
More than 22,000 holiday club places will be available across the borough over the summer holidays, including over 2,000 specialist places for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Eligible families can book up to 16 days of free provision over the summer.
Holiday clubs will offer a wide range of activities, from sports and arts to music, outdoor adventures, and more.
A parent whose child attended last year said:
“My child enjoyed trying out new sports and other activities and making new friends. He also tried new food which is great as he is a picky eater! It was reassuring to know they were in a safe, supportive environment while having fun.”
Councillor Sandra Bauer, Cabinet Member for Children, Young Peopleand Post-16 Futures, said:
“We know how important Holiday Food and Fun is to so many families across our borough, and this year clubs are offering an incredible range of activities. Planning summer activities can be a real challenge, but Holiday Food and Fun helps match children with clubs they’ll genuinely enjoy.
“Alongside this, we’re also offering free holiday meals and activities at our libraries and leisure centres and signposting to tons of free or low-cost activities at museums, parks and other venues across the borough, so every family has something to get involved with.”
