The draft Local Plan and the Woolwich Dockyard area

“The Draft Local Plan, which is currently out for consultation, is the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s most important planning document that sets out our long-term aspirations for guiding future development that will meet the unique needs of our local community over the next 15 years.

“No decision has been made, to bring forward proposals, to redevelop the Woolwich Dockyard and St Marys Estate as part of an estate renewal programme. The Draft Local Plan includes a list of areas where future development to provide new homes could happen and both estates have been included. If any proposals were ever bought forward, residents would be involved from the beginning and no development could go ahead without residents showing support through a ballot.

"Have your say on the Draft Local Plan until 8 February 2026 online or by visiting a display in The Woolwich, Greenwich, Plumstead or Eltham Centre Libraries."
