We're pleased to announce our Lead Schools for Music for the 2026/27 academic year.
Building on the success of the programme's first year, four schools will continue in their Lead School role, while two additional schools will join the network for the year ahead.

The Lead Schools for Music programme brings together schools across Greenwich that demonstrate excellence in music education and a commitment to ensuring all children and young people can access high-quality musical opportunities.
Working in partnership with Royal Greenwich Music Service, Lead Schools act as champions for music education across the borough. They share expertise and best practice, support professional development for school staff, contribute to collaborative projects and help strengthen music provision for children and young people in Greenwich.
Councillor Sandra Bauer, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Post-16 Futures, said: "Music plays an important role in helping children and young people build confidence, develop creativity and achieve their full potential. Every child should have the opportunity to sing, play, create and progress in music, regardless of their background.
I am delighted to see six schools leading the way as part of our Lead Schools for Music network. By working closely with our Royal Greenwich Music Service, these schools will help share expertise, support high-quality music teaching and create even more opportunities for young people across the borough.
