Almost all children in Royal Greenwich have been offered a place at one of their preferred primary schools for September 2026, with 98.6% offered a place at one of their six preference schools and 89.3% setting off to their top choice.
For children starting primary school in September, today - 16 April - is National Offer Day, the big day when they find out which school they will be attending at the start of the academic year.
A total of 2,921 families applied for a Greenwich primary school place for September 2026, a 2.3% increase on last year.
A spokesperson for the council said “It’s great to see that so many children have been offered a place at one of their preferred schools in the borough. We know how important choosing the right primary school is for families. We will continue to work with schools and families to support pupils as they prepare to start their school life in September.”

How do I respond to my offer?
You must respond to the offer by Thursday 30 April 2026.
The offer letter or email will explain what you need to do next. If you miss the deadline, the offer could be withdrawn and the place given to someone else.
If your child is offered a place at one of your preferred schools, we expect you to accept the offer. If you do not want to accept it, you must let us know as soon as possible by emailing school-admissions@royalgreenwich.gov.uk
Accept or reject your offer by:
· responding online if you applied online. You need to log into your online eAdmissions account using your email address or username and your password. Your offer email will explain how to respond online.
· emailing us at school-admissions@royalgreenwich.gov.uk if you applied using a paper form
