From Monday 5 January, there will be closures to roads in our highway network to allow Southern Gas Networks to carry out a mains replacement.
These works are expected to take five months to complete.
The phasing of the works means that there will be temporary closures in place on Prince Rupert Road, Well Hall Parade, Dunvegan Road and Tudor Parade at their respective junctions with Well Hall Road.
All temporary restrictions except Prince Rupert Road will only be in place during certain phases of the works, with a weeks’ notice given for each closure.
Prince Rupert Road will remain a directional closure for the full duration of the works until a full closure is required during its phased works.
We’d like to assure residents that the newly resurfaced carriageway on Well Hall Parade will not be impacted by the works carried out by Southern Gas Networks, and that the road is protected against any future planned works taking place for two years.
Diversion routes will be detailed via on-street signage.
We well keep residents and the wider public updated on these closures in due course.
