Calling all local artisans – get ready to spread some holiday sparkle. Royal Borough of Greenwich is on the hunt for local entrepreneurs and independent makers to bring a touch of magic to this year’s Christmas markets. Whether you’re an experienced market trader or a local creative looking to take your first step into festive trading, this is the chance to dazzle thousands of Christmas shoppers with beautifully unique and handmade products.

This is a fantastic opportunity for local talent to connect with the community and bring their creativity to life at the borough’s hugely popular festive markets. Applications are strongly encouraged from local makers working out of studios in the borough including Art Hub, Thames-Side Studios and other creative hubs. Let’s celebrate the incredible talent and craftsmanship Royal Greenwich has to offer.

Traders have until 20 October to apply for a special five-week trading licence for a pitch in Eltham, Greenwich or Woolwich, which this year will have a new look with festive chalet-style huts. There are four huts available in Passey Place, six huts in Greenwich High Road and eight huts in Beresford Square.

Councillor Jackie Smith, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy, Business, Skills and Greenwich Supports said: “Our vibrant Christmas markets attract visitors far and wide. With the addition of picture-perfect chalets, we hope to attract the very best craft sellers that Royal Greenwich has to offer. Whether you’re an established maker or a rising star in the creative community, this is your opportunity to bring joy to festive shoppers and make your mark during the most wonderful time of the year.”
