Small Business Saturday is taking place on Saturday 6 December. With the festive season in full swing, there’s no better time to show your support for independent shops, restaurants, bars, and other small businesses based in your town centres and high streets.
We’re proud to support this UK-wide campaign, encouraging people to shop small to make a big difference.
Councillor Jackie Smith, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy, Business, Greenwich Supports and Environmental Services, said: “We are very lucky in Royal Greenwich to have such a wide a variety of independent businesses, traders and makers. Small Business Saturday offers a fantastic opportunity to show our support for them.
“It’s more important than ever to shop on the high street – buying from small businesses really makes a big difference. By choosing to spend money at your local shop, restaurant, café, pub or market, you are investing into the local economy and supporting jobs for local people.”
Greenwich One Card is free to everyone who lives, works, or studies in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. By choosing to shop with Greenwich One Card, you are supporting local, independent businesses that keep our high streets thriving.
