A Level results day in Royal Greenwich!

Thursday 17 August 2023

After a summer of waiting, young people across Royal Greenwich collected their A-Level, vocational and technical results today (Thursday 16 August).

Many students will now be heading off to universities including Oxford and Cambridge and other prestigious institutions, while others prepare to step into the world of apprenticeships and work, following another set of great results in Royal Greenwich.

Sixth forms and colleges all over the borough spent the morning giving out results and Councillor Matt Morrow, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, was joined by Clive Efford MP and the Mayor of Royal Greenwich Councillor Dominic Mbang, at Thomas Tallis to celebrate their achievements.

Councillor Morrow said: “Results Day marks the end of a special chapter for a lot of young people and I hope that all our students are very proud of what they’ve accomplished over the last two years.

“Whether university or employment awaits, you’ve worked hard to get to where you are. Whatever your next steps are, I hope students and families take this chance to relax and celebrate before September rolls around.

“Today’s another example of how our schools help young people Be Great in Greenwich. We have the highest ambitions for our children and young people and our borough is lucky to have hardworking and caring teachers filling our classrooms. I’m grateful for the massive part they play in helping the next generation get to where they want to be.”
