There are 3 active piers and 3 disused jetties in Royal Greenwich.
Piers
We own and operate Royal Arsenal Pier.
Transport for London owns and operates Greenwich Pier and North Greenwich pier.
Licences for using Royal Arsenal Pier
To visit the Royal Arsenal Pier, vessel owners must have a licence.
We recommend you apply for a licence well in advance.
We'll fine vessel owners who fail to display a valid licence.
To apply for a licence, email us at transportation-admin@royalgreenwich.gov.uk.
You need to be aware that:
- the pontoon at the downstream end of the pier is not available for normal use
- a licence does not guarantee a mooring or landing space
- licences are subject to availability to account for existing licensed users
Uber Boat
Uber Boat by Thames Clippers runs a regular river bus service from Royal Arsenal Pier.

Disused jetties
There are 3 disused jetties in Royal Greenwich:
- Woolwich Power Station Coal Jetty (upstream of Royal Arsenal Pier)
- T-Jetty 9downstream of Royal Arsenal Pier)
- L-Jetty (downstream of the T-Jetty)
We own the Woolwich Power Station Coal Jetty.
