Care and accommodation for people with support needs

Shared Lives is an arrangement where individuals and families provide accommodation and support for people who need some help to live the lives they choose.

It is a scheme that recruits, trains and supports carers to offer different options to traditional residential care for people who cannot live independently because of disabilities.

It allows people who use the service to maintain a level of independence or to develop skills and independence in order to maximise the quality of their life.

The kinds of services we offer

We aim to offer a range of accommodation and support options to people who are referred to us. The service we offer could be long term, short term, respite, holiday or as a day guest.

We aim to ensure that the service is flexible and creative in its response to meeting people's individual needs, and will match people who use the scheme with carers and families sensitively and appropriately.
