Grants for local projects
The fund uses money from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) which is a scheme that allows councils to raise money from developments to use on improving infrastructure.
A portion of the CIL collected (15%) is made available to be spent on local priorities in consultation with the community; this is known as Neighbourhood CIL or the Greenwich Neighbourhood Growth Fund.
The Greenwich Neighbourhood Growth Fund can be spent on anything which addresses the impact of development in an area.
This could include projects which provide community facilities, environmental improvements, new play equipment, and improvements to community buildings.
