Who are the CEIAG team?

The targeted careers, education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) service is a specially trained team who offer advice and guidance to specific groups of young people between 13 and 19 (or up to 25 for those with SEND) living in Royal Greenwich to make sure they have the opportunity to reach their full potential and contribute to society in a meaningful manner when they enter into adulthood.

Who is eligible to work with the CEIAG team?

This targeted service is mainly only available to young people:

  • with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) with education health and care plans (EHCP)
  • who have received a statutory order and are working with the Youth Offending Service
  • in our care who are supported by Virtual School

The CEIAG service also work with young people who are working with early help or who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). 

Alongside this, the team are responsible for the statistical returns to central government on the proportion of young people who are NEET or whose destinations are ‘not known’.

The Point is now closed. Eligible young people between 16 and 19 (or up to 25 for those with SEND) :

Targeted Support

Targeted support is available for young people between 13 and 25 who are in education and have an EHCP. Children in our care and young people who have received a statutory order and are working with the Youth Offending Service will receive additional one-to-one guidance.

Tracking and Follow up

Royal Greenwich has a statutory responsibility to ensure that all young people between 16 and 18 years old are in some form of education, employment or training. In order to keep our records update-to-date, we may need to contact young people or their parents or carers directly to obtain the required information. This may be done by telephone, letter, home visit or email.
