Food Hygiene Rating Scheme

The national scheme gives you information about hygiene standards in the places you like to go to eat out, as well as supermarkets and other food shops.

Please note: Food businesses that don't provide food directly to the consumer - such as manufacturers and wholesalers - aren't rated under this scheme. This includes places not normally considered to be a food business such as a pharmacy. New businesses may not have been rated yet so their rating may not appear on the list.

About the scheme

The Royal Borough of Greenwich runs the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme in partnership with the Food Standards Agency.

The aim is to reduce the number of cases of food poisoning, which affects around a million people in the UK every year.
