Proof of Age London card

If you're under 25 years old, many pubs, clubs, cinemas and shops selling age-restricted products will ask you for proof of your age. Don't risk losing your passport - take a Proof of Age London (PAL) card instead.

Southwark Council issues the PAL card on behalf of local authorities across London. The card is Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) approved, and ID-scan compatible. It's accepted anywhere in the UK where you need to prove your age.

Report a trader for under age sales

If you're concerned a local trader is selling restricted items to children, contact the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline.

Underage volunteers

Trading Standards officers carry out projects using underage volunteers to ensure goods aren't sold to anyone under the age limit.

To become an underage volunteer, contact the Trading Standards team at tradingstandards@royalgreenwich.gov.uk.
