Grace Olugbodi, founder of the BeGenio brand, creator of multi award-winning maths board game ‘Race to Infinity’, author of ‘Make Maths Fun’ and co-author of the No.1 Amazon bestseller ‘Get in the Game’ and winner of the Micro and Small Business Award in 2019.

What do you love most about your job?

I am in the amazing position to be able to help schools, parents and children every single day. Maths can be such an obstacle and I love that my work can turn around children’s attitude to the subject and even change entire educational outcomes. I get feedback almost every day about the difference our Race To Infinity maths game and our other BeGenio resources make and it drives me to push harder and reach further to help as many children as I can. I love that I wake up every day and am able to work on my mission to help 10 million children eradicate mathematical anxiety everyday.

What do you like the most about running your business in Royal Greenwich?

Running BeGenio in the Royal Borough of Greenwich has been such a blessing because there have been many opportunities that I would have lost without the borough's support. The Council Leader, the Mayor and Business team are so supportive to businesses in Royal Greenwich. I would wager that this is the best borough to run a business in. I have won an award, engaged with local businesses and university and made some wonderful connections and friendships because we are based in Royal Greenwich.

What role does your business play in the local area?

I think my business plays a strong role within the local area because we connect and work with so many different sectors within it. We have been able to benefit local schools, push forward research with the University of Greenwich and we regularly talk about Royal Borough of Greenwich because of the integral role it has played in our growth, highlighting services and local community activities.
