Report anti-social behaviour (ASB) or hate crime
Call 999 if someone is in danger.
If you're a council tenant or leaseholder, contact the Tenancy team to report:
- ASB
- a hate crime or incident
We'll need to know:
- what happened
- where and when it happened
- any action you've taken yourself, if any
- if you've also told another agency or team, for example, the police or another council department

What happens next
Depending on the type of problem, we:
- may ask you to keep a record of events and agree an action plan with you
- will regularly review the case and keep you updated
- may ask you to provide a statement - in some cases this can be without identifying you
- may put you in touch with other services that can help, including the police
- may arrange for you to receive our witness support service
We will only do this with your full consent, but your help and co-operation will help us tackle the problem.
How we deal with ASB and hate crime
If a council tenant or leaseholder causes ASB or commits a hate crime, it is a breach of their tenancy agreement.
We will investigate all reports and work with our partners to resolve the problem. This can include taking legal action.
