Bid for social housing

How to bid

We’ve launched a new system that is easier to use on mobile and tablet devices.

WarningIf this is your first time using the new system, you must create a new account.

Do this using the registration number we sent you when we accepted you onto the housing register. Find out how to sign up to Housing Online

You can bid on properties, or add them to your basket and come back to them later.

If you need help signing up, email Housing-Self-Service-Support@royalgreenwich.gov.uk

Translate the online bidding pages into other languages

There are lots of options for you to translate the online bidding pages into other languages:

What happens after you bid

When you bid, you will get a bid position number. This number reflects your position in the list of bids at the time of your bid and how likely you are to get the property at that time.

Your bid position number will change a few times because it is affected by other people's bids and how suitable they are for the property.

We will only consider giving the property to the people in bid positions 1, 2 and 3 when we have received all the bids.

How you find out if your bid was successful

If your bid is successful, we will contact you by letter within 5 working days and invite you to view the property in person. If you refuse to view the property or you do not accept it and you do not have a good reason, we may deprioritise you.

We will only invite you to view one property, no matter how many you bid on.

We will not contact you about any unsuccessful bids, but you can see all your bids in Greenwich Homes.

You can also view the latest bidding results list online.
