Tall Ships photo competition

Capture the spirit of the Tall Ships Festival - the best photo of you and your friends or family enjoying the onshore entertainment will win a pair of tickets on board a boat during the Parade of Sail. Throughout the Tall Ships Festival, there will be roving performers and live stage entertainment keeping the festival spirit alive.

The Parade of Sail starts around 5pm on Sunday 16 April from Greenwich and will arrive at Woolwich around 5.45pm. Visitors will be able to watch it all along the riverfront between Deptford Creek and Woolwich.

The competition winners will be have to be available from around 3pm to 7pm on Sunday 16 April 2017.

This is a Twitter and Instagram only contest.

Post your best pictures to Instagram or Twitter and include @royal_greenwich #tallshipscomp in your post.

You need to follow @royal_greenwich from the account you use, so we can get in touch with you privately if you win.

We'll consider photos posted before 3pm on Saturday 15 April 2017 and let the winners know by 5pm.

An event photographer will pick the winning entry. 

Some rules...

  1. We'll only accept entries sent from Twitter and Instagram, with @royal_greenwich #tallshipscomp in the message or caption.
  2. By taking part, you're giving permission for your pictures to be shared in public, and reused by Royal Borough of Greenwich in other publications.
  3. We reserve the right to disqualify any inappropriate images.
  4. The usual social media rules apply - if you post anything offensive, we'll take action.
  5. We'll let the winners know the time and place to meet by 5pm on Saturday 15 April. The Parade of Sail won't wait if the winner doesn't show up on time.
  6. The winner can't be an employee of the Royal Borough of Greenwich or an official partner of the Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Festivals.
