Engineering Minds is delighted to invite families to The Science Playhouse, a free, creative science theatre performance taking place at Tramshed, Woolwich, on Saturday 7 March. Funded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich through the Arts Greenwich programme, The Science Playhouse is a youth-led STEM and theatre project that brings science to life through performance. The play has been written, developed and performed by young people aged 10–15, who have spent the last three months working as actors and Science Ambassadors alongside professional artists and STEM tutors. For many of them, this is their first time performing on a public stage. This year’s production explores astronomy and Moon exploration, using drama, puppetry and storytelling to make space science exciting, accessible and memorable for younger audiences. The performance is imaginative, engaging and designed especially for primary-aged children.
✨ What to expect: A fun, 30-minute science-themed theatre performance, followed by 1h LEGO Robotics workshops about Moon Exploration Space, Moon exploration and big ideas explained creatively A supportive, family-friendly atmosphere A chance to celebrate young people’s creativity, confidence and teamwork
🎟 This is a FREE event, open to the public. We warmly welcome families, children and community members to join us and support these young performers as they take to the stage for the project’s biggest performance.
