£10 | £5 under 12sJoin Chris Stark and our very own Blackheath Halls Orchestra for an evening of summer music in the beautiful grounds of St George’s Garrison Church in Woolwich. Bombed during World War II, St George’s Garrison Church survives as an evocative ruin with recently conserved mosaics, and a modern canopy roof, for all to enjoy. Bring a picnic and make the most of what (we hope!) should be a glorious summer evening. Time: Concert starts at 6pm (doors open from 4.30pm) Duration: approx. 90 minutes including a 20 minute interval End: concert ends approx. 7.30pm Programme to include: Faure Pavane Massenet Nocturne from Suite No.1 Percy Grainger Handel in the Strand Charles Williams Summer Garden Ron Goodwin Magnificent Men along with other music by Bernstein, Frank Bridge and Shostakovich A pop-up bar will be open at the church before the concert and at the interval.
