Hansel and Gretel will be pirouetting their way through Woolwich’s revamped Beresford Square on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November in a ballet production of the Grimm’s fairytale to celebrate Halloween weekend.
Follow the breadcrumbs down to Woolwich and watch the pair escape the clutches of the wicked witch to an eclectic soundtrack, ranging from Vivaldi’s Winter concerto to more modern musical pieces.
There will be two performances on both days at 11:30am and 2:30pm. Each performance will be 40 minutes long but keep your eye out for other dancers among the Woolwich weekend crowd throughout the afternoon.
The event is free and open to everyone. Just turn up and enjoy this sugar-coated spectacle, which is being put on by Let’s All Dance and funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
