Do you dream of working for yourself? Do you have a burning business idea that just won’t go away? Then GCDA's business start-up course over four Wednesdays can help you turn your dream into a reality.
GCDA will provide you with a step-by-step guide to planning and launching a business. Covering everything from company registration to product development, they’ll help you identify routes to market, show you how to manage your finances and market your services. They’ll teach you how to get started on the road to business success.
They’ve already helped many small businesses get off the ground, from street food stalls to interior designers and yours could be next!
Learning objectives:
- Analyse aims and identify a personal development plan
- Develop a feasibility study and market research to assess the viability of business idea
- Identify the most appropriate legal structure
- Describe the process of financial management and how this applies to the business
- Develop and practice using a profit and loss spreadsheet including start-up budget
- Review marketing and branding techniques and develop a communications plan
- Using all this information, complete a business plan to get up and running
Identify sources of funding
Due to large numbers of people booking onto their courses and not turning up, they are now taking a £10 deposit for each course to help ensure attendance.
You will be eligible to get the deposit back if you attend every session.
