Residents have the chance to tell us exactly what they think of our bold plans for the future of Royal Greenwich at our Big Local Plan Community Assembly.
Local Plans are the blueprint a council needs to guide developers and ensure that the right development is put in the right place, with the right support behind it. The council's is being written and is open for feedback.
The Big Local Plan Community Assembly is an exciting new opportunity for residents to get involved. On Saturday 7 February 2026, we will be holding a half-day event at Woolwich Works (11am to 3pm) to explore the big issues facing our communities and discuss what our strategic priorities should be for the future.
The draft Local Plan is divided into eight themes: Places, Housing, Economy, Town Centres, Design and Heritage, Environment, Climate Emergency and Transport. It identifies areas that are suitable for future development, and how that development would work in reality with the infrastructure behind it.
As a thank you, those who become Assembly Members will be able to enjoy free experiences across the borough at Woolwich Waves, Woolwich Works and one of our many museums.
