artfix is a community building mechanism that changes the way we live.
We turn creative dreams into the glue that brings people together and transform our daily reality.
In our creative spaces, we offer daily hundreds of creative meet-ups, classes, workspace opportunities and showcasing events so that creators (artfixers!) can collaborate, learn, develop and share their creative ideas.
Our Purpose
Since the establishment of our first creative space 15 years ago, artfix has been bringing local creators and communities together, producing projects, which aspire to instigate social change through collaboration, learning, experimentation, empathy and creative action.
What We Do
We run creative spaces that operate in four main pillars to nurture collaboration, learning, experimentation and creative action.
In our cafe, you can meet with locals, discuss and conceive ideas, form teams and begin the creative process of planning projects together.
Our school offers a range of creative and workout classes, art and well-being courses, seminars, workshops and intensive business programmes on a daily basis to learn and experiment with new ideas.
In our workspace, you can find affordable hot desks, professional workspace, studio space for you and/or your team, where you can work on your project and develop your idea as well as carefully curated networking events that help you connect with other talented and passionate creatives, thinkers and change makers.
Our creative spaces include a dedicated venue for exhibitions, performances, events and shows where you can showcase your creative work. We host music, theatre, dance, exhibitions, film, fashion shows, installations, book and poem reciting, performances, business presentations, screenings and more. Our venue functions as a taster device and marketing tool for creative individuals, emerging artists and upcoming cultural teams.
Our Approach
We work with people of all ages and backgrounds, especially those who may not usually have the opportunity to participate in creative endeavours or be represented in culture, the arts and the media. We deliver tailor-made creative projects in community settings that involve combinations of art forms including fine and visual arts, theatre, dance, music, storytelling, street art, photography and digital arts.
Our work is collaborative, interdisciplinary, and participatory. Using everyday creativity as our main tool, we enable members of the local communities to tell their stories promoting understanding and we encourage everyone to develop and show their creative ideas supporting creative entrepreneurship.
