The Old Blue Cross Pet Cemetery is a historic memorial site located on Shooters Hill Road.
Established in the early 20th century, it served as a resting place for pets, particularly those belonging to servicemen and women during the World Wars.
The cemetery is now maintained by the Friends of the Pet Cemetery (FOPC), a volunteer group dedicated to preserving its legacy. While new burials are no longer conducted, the site remains a place of remembrance, featuring over 200 gravestones dating back to 1906.
Visitors can explore the tranquil grounds and reflect on the deep bond between humans and their animal companions
