The Mayor's duties

The Mayor’s main duty is to chair Full Council meetings. They must make sure that proceedings are conducted properly and all opinions are heard. During their term, they must be non-political.

The Mayor must always take the lead in matters concerning the life of the borough. This could be anything from making a charity or disaster fund appeal to welcoming home a victorious football team.
