Where to report flooding
Who you need to contact depends on where the flood is coming from.
Report a drain problem
You can tell us about a drain problem on a public street or residential road.
Floods from drains on council housing estates or private land
If you’re a council tenant or leaseholder, you can report a problem in your home.
If a drain on your land, for example in your garden, is flooding you’ll need to contact a plumber or drain specialist yourself.
Report a sewer flood or burst water main
Report a sewer flood or burst water main on the Thames Water website.
Report a flooded road
Transport for London (TfL) deals with flooding on the red route road network. In Royal Greenwich, they are:
- A2 (Blackheath Hill, Blackheath Road, Deptford Bridge, East Rochester Way, Shooters Hill Road)
- A20 (Eltham Road, Sidcup Road)
- A102 (Blackwall Tunnel Southern Approach)
- A205 (Grand Depot Road, South Circular Road, Well Hall Road)
- A210 (Eltham Road)
- A2204 (New Ferry Approach)
- A2213 (Kidbrooke Park Road)

Groundwater flooding
This is when water comes up from the ground.

Report a river flood
The Environment Agency deals with flooding from main rivers. In Royal Greenwich, they are the:
- River Thames
- River Ravensbourne
- River Quaggy
- Butts Canal
- Wickham Valley Watercourse and Marsh Dykes
