If you are worried about your or someone else’s use of drugs and alcohol, you can get support from our Young Persons Substance Misuse Service.
We support young people to:
- talk about what is going on in a safe and confidential space
- make changes to their substance use if they wish
- make safer choices
- engage with other services if needed
We work with young people aged:
- 10 to 18 years old
- up to 21 years old for care leavers
- up to 25 years old for those with a Statement of Educational Need
For those over 25 years old, you can get substance misuse support from Via.
You do not need permission from a parent, guardian or carer to contact us.
How to refer yourself
You can fill in a self-referral form to tell us you would like support.
How to refer someone else
You can refer a young person to the service on their behalf. You must have their consent first.
What happens next
After you have submitted the form, we will review your referral and you will be allocated a worker within 2 weeks.
The allocated worker will contact the young person to introduce themselves and set up an initial assessment.
If the referral does not meet the threshold, the team will contact you to discuss what other options are available.
