You can add your child to the disabled children and young people's register if they:

  • live in the Royal Borough of Greenwich
  • are aged 0 to 19
  • have a learning or physical disability that’s likely to have substantial and long-term adverse effects on their ability to carry out usual day-to-day activities

It's up to you if you add your child to the register – you’re still entitled to benefits such as Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

Being on the register does not require any contact or home visits from a social worker.

Advantages of being on the register

Being on the register helps you to:

  • keep up to date with services, rights, entitlements, events and activities through newsletters and bulletins
  • get involved in discussions or consultations about future services and activities

The register is confidential, with information held on a password protected database.
