Public auctions
You need to get a licence from us to use a premises for a public auction.
The only exception to this is if the auction is a one-day charity event. In this case, you'll need to provide proof of charity status.
How to get a licence
To apply for an auction premises licence, contact us by email at licensing@royalgreenwich.gov.uk or phone us on 020 8921 8018.
We'll:
- ask you for information about the premises you want to use for the auction
- tell you the price of the licence
We reserve the right to apply conditions to the licence relating to matters such as:
- public safety
- fire prevention
- lighting
