About food hygiene training
It's important for your business that all staff who handle food do it safely and hygienically.
All food handlers must either:
- complete a Level 2 Food Safety in Catering qualification, or
- be supervised and instructed by at least one person who has this qualification – they must be on site at all times to ensure safe food-handling and storage
If your staff complete training, it helps:
- them understand the need for safe food-handling and storage
- them put good practices in place
- protect your staff and customers from food-related risks
