We’ve developed a strategy to tackle economic inequality in the Royal Greenwich.
About the strategy
The strategy sets out a 10-year vision for creating an economy that works for everyone, leaving no-one behind. It guides how the local economy will grow and become more inclusive.
There are 3 main themes of the strategy:
- People - meeting the needs of Royal Greenwich residents
- Place - making Royal Greenwich a thriving place
- Prosperity - making sure everyone can access good, secure jobs
Aims of the strategy
Through this strategy we’ll:
- make sure our residents and communities benefit from growth and investment in the borough
- put people, place and planet at the heart of economic development
- tackle inequality
- have a green economy
- build on our history of cooperative development
- make use of ‘anchor’ organisations – the borough’s major employers, landowners and those with purchasing power
- use the borough's history, politics, partners and institutions to develop a model of economic development
