Our Inclusive Economy Strategy

We’ve developed a strategy to tackle economic inequality in the Royal Greenwich.

About the strategy

The strategy sets out a 10-year vision for creating an economy that works for everyone, leaving no-one behind. It guides how the local economy will grow and become more inclusive.

There are 3 main themes of the strategy:

  1. People - meeting the needs of Royal Greenwich residents
  2. Place - making Royal Greenwich a thriving place
  3. Prosperity - making sure everyone can access good, secure jobs

Aims of the strategy

Through this strategy we’ll:

  • make sure our residents and communities benefit from growth and investment in the borough
  • put people, place and planet at the heart of economic development
  • tackle inequality
  • have a green economy
  • build on our history of cooperative development
  • make use of ‘anchor’ organisations – the borough’s major employers, landowners and those with purchasing power
  • use the borough's history, politics, partners and institutions to develop a model of economic development
