Culture has the power to bring people together. It breaks down barriers, strengthens our sense of a shared identity, and opens our minds to new ideas and ways of thinking. London Borough of Culture is about creating an ambitious vision for London's boroughs with culture firmly at its core.

The London Borough of Culture is part of the Mayor of London's plans to support the arts in the capital. The competition is open for all London boroughs to bid for £1.35m of GLA funding to deliver a year-long programme of cultural events and initiatives. This will be matched by the winning borough and sponsorship will also be sought. It is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our borough and everyone who lives and works in it.
