You are part of our wider public health workforce whether you lead change, shape the building blocks of health or work with residents. Every decision and interaction is an opportunity to move us closer to health equity.
There are lots of tools, resources and ways to get involved and support a fairer, healthier future for Royal Greenwich together.
Deep dive our communities
Understanding our communities, where they are and their needs is the first step towards health equity.
Our Royal Greenwich Public Health Intelligence Team developed the Royal Greenwich Data Observatory. This is a free resource to help us understand our population and local community insights.
This can help:
- plan and target towards our communities most in need
- check our services are offered and accessed fairly
- show where we need to improve to reach different communities and make services more accessible and inclusive
Develop your knowledge and skills
Find local and national information, tools and training about health equity.
Training
- Find training for community groups and volunteers for a broad range of topics. These include mental health awareness, safeguarding, supporting people with long-term conditions and more.
- If you work for the NHS or the council, you can access the NHSE e-learning for health Hub.
Connect and share best practice
Read about how local community leaders are supporting fair health. You can also share your examples at community-champions@royalgreenwich.gov.uk.
