Who can get short term care and support
We’ll do an assessment to see if you are eligible for care and support.
We’ll do this to understand your strengths and see if support could help you live independently.
It may be that some equipment in your home will be all the support you need.
Equipment may be things like:
- perching stools to sit closer to worktops or basins
- raised toilet seats to make it easier and safer to transfer
- bed or chair raisers to make it easier to transfer
- chairs with hidden bucket or pan (commode)
- shower seats, grab rails, steps so you can safely get into and use a bath or shower
We can order minor equipment for you. Or you can choose to buy your own equipment.

Request short term support
If you’re in hospital you should speak to someone who is caring for you. They can make a referral so you can get assessed to identify what support you may need.
