School terms and holiday dates are shown here for the current school year. These dates apply to all nursery, primary, secondary and special (day) schools.

Term one

Term time: 5 September to 21 October 2011.

Half-term holiday: 24 October to 28 October 2011.

Term two

Term time: 31 October to 16 December 2011.

Christmas and New Year holiday: 19 December 2011 to 2 January 2012.

Term three

Term time: 3 January to 10 February 2012.

Half-term holiday: 13 February to 17 February 2012.

Term four

Term time: 20 February to 30 March 2012.

Easter holiday: 2 April to 13 April 2012.

Term five

Term time: 16 April to 1 June 2012 (excluding 7 May - May Day).

Half-term holiday: 4 June to 8 June 2012.

Term six

Term time: 11 June to 23 July 2012.

Summer holiday: from 24 July 2012.
