You need to apply and be granted British citizenship before you can book a citizenship ceremony.

If your citizenship application is successful

The Home Office will send you a citizenship ceremony invitation letter.

The invitation will tell you:

• what to do next
• about the oath or affirmation
• about the citizenship pledge
• to check your personal details
• the contact details of your local register office

The Home Office will also send us your Naturalisation Certificate at the same time. It can take up to 2 weeks for us to receive your certificate.

Once we have your Naturalisation Certificate, you can contact us to book the next available ceremony.
