Visit by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall

The Leader and I were delighted to receive HRH The Duchess of Cornwall to the Borough, when she visited Emmaus Greenwich on 4 December.  This was to celebrate Emmaus Greenwich 25th Anniversary.

Emmaus Greenwich supports people who have experienced homelessness and the group was last year’s  Charity Appeal.  The Duchess of Cornwall unveiled a plaque and surprised everyone by bringing along with her a cake to celebrate.  It was great to see the Duchess in the Borough and see her speaking to all the companions and staff.

The Past Mayor, Councillor Christine May, was also present at the event, as Emmaus Greenwich was her Mayor’s Charity Appeal last year.
