Missed collections

If you've noticed that all of the waste and/or recycling in your street has been missed, it's likely the crew is running behind schedule and has not yet reached your road.

If it is just your waste and/or recycling bin that has been missed, report it to us. We aim to collect missed bins within one working day.

Report a missed bin collection

Red tags

If a red tag has been placed on one of your recycling bins or sacks, it means that it contains items that are not recycled as part of that service - for example:

  • food waste in your blue-top bin
  • plastic carrier bags in your green-top bin.

The tag has been put there to inform you that:

  • you have put the wrong waste in the bin or sack
  • it needs to be emptied by the Black service.

Please bear in mind that if you keep getting red tags on your recycling bins or sacks we may withdraw the service.

Recycling sacks and replacement bins

If your wheeled bin falls into the back of a collection vehicle, our crew will drop a card through your door to inform you that a new one has been ordered. In this case, you don't need to report it.

If your wheeled bin or communal bin is damaged or stolen, you can order a replacement using our online form.

You can also request clear recycling sacks for mixed dry recycling or buy other bin liners or compostable bags using our online form. We aim to deliver them within ten working days.
